Sprucing up homes

Submitted | Robert Day

A group of teens from across the country from a group called TeenServe have been doing summer community projects and are currently in Edgerton. They have been focusing on painting homes and doing small repairs at no cost to homeowners. The 200-300 youth from seventh through the 12th grades are staying in Butler, Indiana, at the school and then go out as teams to homes in the area during the day. They have also chosen two homes in Edgerton to paint. One of the homes in Edgerton has teens from Canada, Texas, and Minnesota working together and the other home has a youth group from Wisconsin. The teens will be in the village until Friday. In the evening, they gather and have a service for all the students with praise, worship and a speaker.
